Brad Owens, NWJA President

Brad Owens was born and raised in Bellingham, and has lived here for over 50 years. He is currently transitioning into retirement, after 40+ years working in the Electrical Industry as an electrician, as well as a Business Representative for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 191. Brad is the past President of the Northwest Washington Building and Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO, and is currently the Community Affairs Officer. This council represents construction trade unions in Whatcom, Skagit, and Snohomish Counties, with a combined membership of over 7,000 construction workers. Brad also served on the Board of Directors for United Way of Whatcom County for 6 years.


John Huntley, NWJA Chair

John Huntley is a native of Whatcom County and is the owner of Mills Electric, an industrial and commercial electrical contractor.  He attended Sehome High and graduated from WWU with a degree in Business Administration.  John is active with a number of local organizations, including the United Way, the Whatcom Business Alliance, and the Hospice Foundation.  He is currently the president of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.
